India is full of gems. The country side, the people, the history, spiritually and literally the gems and minerals. Many stones are mined as well as cut polished and processed in India. Some very fine micro faceting of gemstones by laser has been developed over the past few years. This produces an especially sparkling gem stone bead or setting cut stone. The qualit of the carving and cutting is top notch with many factories in Delhi/ A short distance from my five star hotels in Delhi are many showrooms proudly showing these items. The richness of the history and spiritually play into this as many whom follow the Hindu faith believe it auspicious to adorn oneself only with gold and transparent stones. There for emeralds, rubies, tourmalines and many other fine stones are mined and processed in India. Adding to the richness of the sub continent. The spiritual history goes back eons with many traditions being adopted from things that developed in India. Like the Mala or Prayer Beads. These devises for ritual use specifically to count the repetitions of mantras have been adapted around the world and by many religions and groups. In Greece they are called worry beads the Catholics call them Rosary. It is all from the same ancient tradition that Hinduism grew from that the use of these beads cam into being and the concept shared throughout the world. The concept of meditation, getting in touch with your-own mind is an ancient gem from the Indian sub continent. Meditation employs quiet sitting to changing out loud or to oneself or walking or repetition of some other kind. The point of which is to focus the energy of the mind. India has many more gems to be spoken of these are just a few.

Five-star Brisbane hotels can make the trip here one you’ll remember for years to come. Our hotels are distinguished in offering generous portions of hospitality and graciousness, to make your stay relaxing and refreshing. There is a sumptuous blend of old world charm and new world amenities to keep you connected to the world at large, yet allowing you the space to let yourself go and come back to your senses. We offer world-class dining by some of the most accomplished chefs on the continent, exercise rooms that help to restore a sense of balance to your world, and a contagious friendliness that will put you in a mood that you deserve, so you can enjoy this splendid city.

As the third largest city in Australia, Brisbane has a lot to offer. The city has its share of urban charms and distractions, and you’re close enough to either the bush or the beach, to satisfy your sense of adventure. There are also tours and sight seeing that will keep the whole family occupied. In the city, fans of visual art are in for a treat in Brisbane. There is a thriving art scene here, with artists working in all types of media. The gallery scene has been growing in recent times because of efforts of young artists willing to take risks, and Katie Lee Grech is one such artist.

This twenty-something artist is taking advantage of the possibilities of digital culture, and not only distributing her work in the virtual realm, but is also developing skills as a designer here. Currently pursuing a degree in interactive entertainment, Katie Lee Grech is developing skills for 2 and 3-d modeling. Her work is very challenging and interesting, taking inspiration from pop culture and animation to draw and paint worlds that are both evocative and provocative. One of her projects, 100 paintings in 100 days, is a splendid experiment in creating inspirations and removing creative blocks. She spends only 30 minutes creating a new work of art, using techniques she has already mastered. This is an excellent way to generate new work very quickly, and keep the juices flowing. It will be interesting to watch her career.

I was fortunate enough to travel to Singapore and do an insect study among the mangroves for my highschool science project. My parents had some business to conduct there, so I got to tag along. We stayed at one of the 5 Star Singapore Hotels for a whole week, which gave me plenty of time everyday to work up a field study where the insect has been relatively poorly studied, and the possibility for a scientific discovery sparked me on.

I found that the most common insect in the mangroves are the invertebrate with wings, but there are many ground-dwelling ones also which are definitely wingless. All insects that have a single pair of antennae and tree pairs of legs and adults have a body divided into three parts: the head, the thorax and the abdomen. Though numerous in the Singapore mangroves, insects are much less obvious tot he casual visitor. Their diversity is so huge that little is known about many of them. The beetles is definitely the most of the most common insect and the most noticeable. Then there’s the moths and butterflies, the flies, ants, termites and finally the crickets and grasshoppers.

I consider the Springtails common in the mangroves, but most biologists do not regard them as a true insect. Now, young insects such as the caterpillars, grubs, maggots and wrigglers which a more frequent term to call them is larvae are more frequently seen than the adults. But, I found it difficult to know what a larvae becomes after its metamorphosis. The only way to really know is to rear them to the adult stage. I noticed that quite often all I ever did observe was the damage the insects left behind on the leave of a tree or bush. But, this was good enough for me, because each eaten leave was the insects characteristic signature. I had a great time identifying which insect ate what leaf.

May whole week in the mangroves was the best week of my life. I could’ve spent all my time there just cataloguing and observing the wonderful world of insects, but alas, my parents yanked me back to the real world of school and family.

The World Heritage site of the Blue Mountains is just a day trip from the city of Sydney. The drive from any of the five star hotels Sydney offers in the center of town, to the Blue Mountains is just over two hours. One should take note, that no petrol stations are located at the Park or the Reserve, so one should plan ahead. Located in the the mountains is the Scenic World. This is a collection of various ways to enable visitors to experience the best views of the incredible scenery, rock formations, waterfalls, and landscapes. This is a site that all visitors should see, and a perfect getaway for those living in Sydney.

Scenic World remains open, every day throughout the year, from nine to five. When one first enters, the first activity would be to take the train down into the Jamison valley. The descent is about four hundred and fifteen meters, taking the steepest rails in the world, through tunnels, cliff edges and water falls into the ancient Australian rain forest. Once in the valley there is a self guided tour along a walkway, leading one through the forest on a set of trails, with a boardwalk that is accessible to those in wheelchairs. The walk leads one through the flora and fauna, and provides history and facts.

And one should take time to explore the sites in the valley such as the Rain Forest room located deep within the valley and the Marrangaroo Spring, as well as the historical exhibit of the coal mine, before heading back along the path that leads to the platform to the suspended cable car. This was the first in the world to be designed with a floor made of glass. The window in the floor becomes transparent as the car makes its ascent out of the valley, giving one an incredible perspective and the feeling as though one may just be walking on air. For those not afraid of heights, this is an amazing journey to take through the Blue Mountains.

Travelers looking for the place where sun, recreation, and culture merge would do well to consider our 5-star Ibiza hotels. Here, there is a delightful combination of all these things, and much much more. With amenities and extras that meet or exceed all the standards in the industry, there is a sense of luxury here that is hard to duplicate anywhere else on the planet. There is a heady combination of cool, international style, in a place that is very plugged into all the latest trends, along with the delicious sense of solitude that comes from being on a island off the coast of Spain. Here it’s possible to be completely away from it all, or completely tuned in to a fantastic social scene, or a bit of both. The chefs here have excellent reputations, with a flair for the local, and a solid working knowledge of all sorts of cuisines. The design is impeccable, and the staff is very well-informed.

In Ibiza, there is something for the whole family, with an array of events and activities that everyone can enjoy. It also has a nightlife that lives up to its reputation. There are some really amazing nightclubs, where the parties do indeed last until dawn, featuring some of the coolest beats in the world, by djs who know their world music. Because of this, Ibiza attracts a very interesting and cultured demographic, including youth culture from around the world, as well as a fair share of celebrities. Anonymity is certainly possible here, as well as being in a place where it’s important to be seen. It depends on what you’re looking for. But if you’re looking for music and dancing, it’s difficult to find an underground scene that stays underground for very long, as Tuesday is Fuseday proves.

What started as a spontaneous beach party turned out to be one of the biggest happenings of the summer, with thousands gathering to dance to new techno music by some of Ibiza’s best djs, including Nima Gorji, the Iranian born musician who now makes his home here. The event started at around 4pm, and brought the whole town, it seemed, until it ended at 4am. The island Ibiza, so the story goes, was founded by the Phoenicians in the 5th century b.c., and named after the God of Music and Dance. Lots of foresight in this, for sure.

Udaipur, India is the Administrative Headquarters of the Udaipur District in the State of Rajasthan in Western India. City of Lakes is what Udaipur is known as, and a most fitting title it is. It got this name because of the many, absolutely gorgeous lakes found here. You will find Lake Pichola, Fateh Sagar Lake, Udai Sagar Lake and Swaroop Sagar Lake. All incredibly beautiful, all draw tourists from far and wide to enjoy their beauty. Something else Udaipur is famous for are the many spectacular palaces, many of which have become fabulous hotels offering the utmost in luxurious accommodations. Udaipur five star hotels can be found throughout the city and will make your stay an experience of a lifetime. One such palace, the Lake Palace encompasses the entire island in the Pichola Lake.

These palaces are centuries old, with their balconies displaying unbelievable views, unique courtyards and terraces, spectacular gardens, glass mosaics and wall paintings. Just imagine the stories that these walls could tell. One such story revolves around a beautiful princess and several rival princes who were desirous of winning her hand. In order to prevent an eminent bloody battle, she poisoned herself. Every day, thousands of tourists visit the Krishna vilas, which was built in her memory. On display are many period articles, furniture, paintings and other items for all to wonder over.

The Udaipur Solar Observatory is the only solar observatory in all of Asia. The sky conditions and surrounding body of water makes this an ideal location for maximum clarity needed for an observatory. Another popular attraction is the Gulab Bagh and Zoo. The rose garden is spectacular but the most amazing surprise to be found here is a library. Ancient books and manuscripts are housed in this building. The zoo is home to many wild animals and birds and can be enjoyed in natural surroundings. Udaipur is a delight and an adventure for all who visit.

Beijing is an amazing and historic city in China. It also has the distinction of hosting the 2008 summer Olympic games. This is a time honored event that features the top athletes from all over the world. It was an extremely spectacular occasion, and featured entertainment aspects, as well as the sports. It was watched throughout the world, and many people traveled to China and stayed in one of the five star Beijing hotels in order to attend it. The opening ceremony was amazing and served as an appropriate introduction to this competitive and prestigious event. The winning star athletes usually go on to become major cultural icons in their own countries. This was certainly the case with Michael Phelps, the swimmer from the United States who won a record breaking 8 gold medals.

The Olympic Games occur every four years. There are medals awarded for the top three performers or teams in each event. This is an tradition that was first established in 1904. The first place winters receive gold medals, silver goes to second place, and third place receives bronze. At this time the Winter Games were also added due to the enormous popularity of the Summer Games.

London England will host the 2012 Summer Games, which will be the third time they have occurred there. The United States has hosted the games four times, the most recent being in 1996 when they took place in Atlanta Georgia. The modern games were established in 1894 at took place in Athens Greece. They were founded by Pierre Fredi wanted to support and promote international connections and understanding through competitive sports. These first games took place two years after Fredi established them, and included only 245 athletes, and only 14 countries. The Games no include over 10,000 participants from 205 nations.

There is no question that among all the world’s 5-star hotels, Mallorca is in a class all by itself. One of the most luxurious islands in the world, and home to one of the world’s most fabulous tourist destinations, Mallorca is famous for its incredible beaches and enviable night life. The hotels are a reflection of the place, with amenities to suit any traveler, and a sense of elegance that is only found here on Spain’s largest island. Guests looking to hide from the world and rejuvenate their senses will be well-rewarded here.

Mallorca has an amazing history, and some amazing people. One of its current favorite sons is the young motorcycle rider, Jorge Lorenzo. Although he just turned 21, the rider has already turned heads all over the world with his skill at riding on two wheels. Born on May 4th, 1987, in Palma de Mallorca, Jorge Lorenzo began riding when he was just three years old. He started competing at a young age as well. In 1998, he won the Aprilla 50cc competition, even though he was only 11 years old. The Spanish government gave him a special dispensation to compete in the 125cc race in 2000, which he also won, making him the youngest motorcyclist to win a European race.

He has since graduated to the 250 cc class in 2004, and 2006 and 2007 saw some of his most amazing wins. He won world titles for both years, with nearly 20 pole positions to his impressive resumé, and in 2008 became the Rookie of the Year from MotoGP. His reputation as a skilled rider is sometimes preceded by his reputation for spectacle, and a tendency to celebrate with an intense lust for life. Jorge Lorenzo crashes well, and recovers spectacularly, and does everything with a panache that is unmistakably Mallorcan.

The Robeco Summer Festival of concerts, and the Grachten Festival are about to begin in Amsterdam. Many festivals, music, art and culinary, occur throughout the summer months, and this is just two of many that will entertain locals and tourists staying in the five star Amsterdam hotels throughout the months of July and August. The Dutch culture and the Dutch people are long known for their love and support of music. Many musicians have come out of the Netherlands, and some of the best orchestras and symphonies have their homes here and perform regularly at the Concertgebouw, a theater known to be one of the best in the world for the acoustics.

The concerts scheduled during the summer months are often theme-based, with various series, even the smaller festivals, encapsulated under the same theme. Often times the themes will include the birthdays or the anniversaries of the deaths of composers throughout history, with the focus being placed on their works. There are also concerts specially designed for audiences of children, or high-lighting the music of international composers. The music in this series is presented just about every night of the week throughout the months of July and August, beginning each night at just past 8 pm.

The Grachten Festival celebrates the music of the symphony and the opera, the classical side of the industry and the art. In 2007, Nelly Miricioiu–famous opera singer, not only performed heart wrenching pieces each night, but also offered workshops and seminars. Teaching and coaching the works of Bellini, Donizetti, and Rossini opening up a world that may be unfamiliar to the general public or to young singers, along with the opportunities to witness these pieces performed each night. Along with the classes, she spoke of her experiences, which is interesting to those wishing for a career following in her footsteps. For music lovers around the world, this is one of the best times to be in Amsterdam.

While Hyderabad has many historical landmarks and cultural heritage monuments, the Charminar building is one of the most significant icons of the city. Hyderabad is the capital of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh and the monument was built in 1591, shortly after the city had become the capital. It was built by Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah and a legend surrounding it states that it was constructed due to a promise he had made to Allah. Tourists who visit India and stay in one of the five star hotels in Hyderabad have many landmarks, scenic wonders and entertainment options to fill their time, and a trip to Charminar is almost always on the top of the list.

The name of the building translates as the four towers, or mosques, of the four minarets. It is an amazing architectural spectacle and awes visitors from their first glimpse. It is a square monument with four sides measuring 20 meters. Each of the corners has a tall pointed minaret, which reach heights of over 48 meters. This means they can be seen from all over the city, and the building is one of its fundamental icons. There are winding staircases inside the minarets and when one reaches the top of them, they are provided with a spectacular panoramic view of the city. The building is slightly different in construction from the Taj Mahal due to the minarets being incorporated into the actual building.

Each of the four sides of the Charminar has giant arches that open into a beautiful plaza. These main thoroughfares were originally royal roads. The building was built from lime mortar and granite, which demonstrates its basis in Cazia architecture. The inside of the monument is as beautiful as its exterior and is well known for its graceful moldings and carvings. There is a tremendous amount of detail in the design, which gives the appearance of lace. At night it is illuminated and looks spectacular from great distances and up close.
