Sydney, Australia is one of the major world cities. It is full of life, culture and history. Traveling to Sydney is unlike any other city. Located right on the water, the city is full of fun and things to do.

The InterContinental Hotel in Sydney is one of the most luxurious hotels the city has to offer. It is located right on the Sydney Harbour and is walking distance from the Opera House, Botanic Gardens and the Circular Quay ferries.

The hotel is built around the restored Treasury building and has 509 guest rooms. There is a fitness center, shops and a pool which is located on the 31^st floor. Each guest room offers a stunning view of the Harbour and the beauty of the city is breath taking. The InterContinental also has 28 suites which have been frequented by major world leaders and celebrities. The hotel features 2 restaurants and has a bar in the lounge on the first floor.

Sydney is a very vivid city and has many great attractions and places to go. Since the hotel is walking distance from the Opera House, seeing a performance there is a must. There is also the BridgeClimb which is a climb to the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Another popular thing to do in Sydney is hit the beach, Bondi Beach is one of the most popular beaches there and offers over a mile of white sand to lay out on.

Near the hotel are plenty of shops as well. It is well worth a shopping trip in Sydney and hitting the streets is always a fun experience. It is easier to experience the city by walking because it is always an adventure and offers something new. In the Rocks shopping center there is a weekly market where people from all over come and bring their goods to sell.

Sydney is an absolutely gorgeous place with so much life; it would be a shame to not visit.

The Hótel Brimnes in Iceland

Iceland should really think about changing its name; sure it can get a bit cold in Iceland but not like Greenland, which ironically is covered in ice. Iceland has got to be losing millions on tourism because of the assumptions that people probably make about it because of its name. In reality, Iceland is hardly icy at all, and is actually covered in lush green hills and mountains. In a way Iceland is like the European version of Colorado. Among the rolling green hills and snow capped mountains of Iceland sits the Hótel Brimnes. The Hotel Brimnes is located in the small Icelandic town of Ólafsfjörður and what separates the Hotel Brimnes from other generic hotels is that guests can choose to stay either in the main standard hotel facility or in Finnish style bungalows that sit at the edge of Lake Ólafsfjarðarvatn . In truth, the main Hotel Brimnes facility is quite average so if you really want to have an unforgettable stay in Iceland then go with the cottages. Each of the Hotel Brimnes’ eight wood cottages has a hot tub, kitchen, and a lounge in addition to the usual bedrooms and bathrooms. Cottage accommodations range from the small four bed cottages to the large 6 bed family cottage. The main Hotel Brimnes facility has eleven double rooms and like the cottages, have a great view of Lake Ólafsfjarðarvatn and the surrounding mountains and countryside.

If you’re staying at the Hotel Brimnes and you see a series of bright green lights coming from outside your hotel or cottage window at night then don’t panic. It’s not the Icelandic police: they use blue lights. In fact, what you are probably seeing is the Aurora Borealis or Northern Lights. The Aurora Borealis is nighttime display of lights in the sky which is caused by ionized particles impacting the Earth’s magnetic field. The Northern Lights are only visible in Polar Regions like Iceland and are truly a sight to behold.

Alright, the Northern Lights are great and all, but what are you going to do during the day? Well why not go for a drive and explore some of Iceland’s natural beauty? Just stop by one of the many off-roading rental companies operating in Iceland and to explore the countryside. You’re going to want a real study vehicle that has some all terrain tires and some study wheels though because Iceland definitely has some rugged terrain. Drive to the newly formed town , Fjallabyggð or visit the fjords of the Tröllaskagi peninsula. Or if you’re daring, travel to the famous and difficult to pronounce volcano, Eyjafjallajokull, which that erupted in 2010. The volcano is pretty safe now, and it’s just one of many areas in Iceland you might want to explore. Dallas’s Urban Street Bazaar

If it’s the first weekend in October, it’s time for the annual Urban Street Bazaar. Over 65 vendors will offer a variety of goods at the 11th bazaar, which takes place in the Bishop Arts District. Visitors to the metro will want to leave their luxury Dallas hotels to join the city’s unique celebration of the DIY alternative art & craft movement that has been sweeping the country in recent years.

Founded in 2005, the Urban Street Bazaar is held several times throughout the year, with the latest being October 2-3, 2010. Visitors will have the chance to browse and purchase handcrafted items of every kind, including hip, unique, and funky jewelry, clothing, and art. Over sixty vendors are scheduled to participate.

The Bazaar also features the Project Make Fashion Show. Around 15 local acoustic bands will provide music throughout the weekend. Hours for the event are noon – 8pm on Saturday and noon – 4pm on Sunday.

The event is organized by Make Studio , a modern craft lounge that offers a boutique, classes, and special events.

Seattle is one of the most memorable cities in the country, and perhaps it’s because the city itself has a memory. The citizens of the place are very conscious about where they live, and take great pains to keep the past in the present. Looking at the future of those who are growing up here makes for careful deliberations to keep things in balance, and it’s also something that attracts visitors, enjoying Seattle hotels for a weekend or sometimes more. It’s evident in the architecture, and sometimes evident in the curtains.

Seattle’s Central District is home to some of the city’s more diverse communities, and those who lived through the difficult years of Japanese internment will also remember the history of this population in the city. The Nippon Kan Theatre opened in 1909, and served as a theatre and performance space, as well as a community center for the city’s Japanese-American population. In the beginning years, the fire curtain that hung here served as a massive advertisement for local businesses, where local shop owners could buy a square of space.

It was taken down after six years, and when the internment camps closed the space for a few decades, the curtain had been all but forgotten. Rediscovered in 2006, a renovation project helped to preserve the curtain, so that its place in the memory of the city could be made visible once again.

This year’s Sing-Fest is already over, but it’s never too early to start considering the next festival. True, there are plenty of exciting things to do in Singapore all throughout the year, where entertainments are there to be had for all guests of all ages, in one of the most fascinating places in the region, and Singapore Hotels are always accommodating. For music lovers, however, this event is one of the great moments of the year, and people do come from all over the world.

USS Constitution in Boston

What a great chance to see some interesting naval history for America with a ticket to the USS Constitution Museum. Your going to want to get out of the boston boutique hotels for a guided tour of the USS Constitution ship that has been restored by the U.S. Navy and opened to the public for exploration.

The USS Constitution was an active war ship that helped the founding fathers of America fight for the nations freedom against the British between 1812 and 1815. It was the known back in the day as the Second War of Independence. The ship was commissioned by President George Washington along with 5 other ships to help protect America’s shores after the U.S. Continental Navy disbanded out of the American Revolution.

Today, you can visit the ship as well as the museum which will fill you in on all of the interesting details of all the fights the ship lived through. The museum opened its doors across from the pier in 1976 and has built up quite the collection and displays over the years. In July of 2009, they opened their latest exhibit, All Hands on Deck: A Sailor’s Life in 1812, with great pride. Visitors become the crew in a wonderful interactive exhibit filled with all the sights, sounds, stories and experiences of the men who sailed the USS Constitution so many years ago.

It’s a tricky business to avoid being pigeon-holed in the world of music. There are only a handful of cities where it’s possible to play the kinds of music that are fed by artistic impulse. Radical changes are usually met with derision once the fans expect something, but in Seattle, innovation is as welcome as a clear view of the mountain after a long, gray winter.

It’s the kind of innovation that brings people to Seattle business hotels , where even the world of commerce has a tendency to go outside the box. Although the musical revolutions of a by-gone time are still considered to be particular to the time and place, there’s still new sounds to hear.
