With a stunning combination of fascinating history and spectacular natural vistas, Virginia is an exciting destination for tourists and travelers.  It’s possible to come here and enjoy a full itinerary, seeing all the museums and cultural events, and still not be able to see all there is to see in Virginia’s cities.  It’s also possible to come here to hide away from the world, and enjoy your solitude in one of Virginia’s luxury hotels.  They’re a splendid place to do either, because it’s a perfect place to come to enjoy all the amenities, the Southern charm, the magnificent meals, and the luxurious spas and workout rooms.  They’re also located in the middle of some of Virginia’s most desirable destinations, offering the opulence of nature, or lively urban scenes, or both.

For arts and culture, Virginia is also a fantastic place to see and do things.  There are many wonderful museums here, marking the dizzying history of the place, with its origins of democracy in the contemporary world, or gallery spaces where new art is made and displayed.  Virginia attracts a wide array of artists working in all disciplines, and their work represents what’s happening right now in remarkable internal worlds.  It’s a place where the arts can thrive, and there is a great deal of support from the local communities, making it an attractive place to live for practitioners.  A great example of this is the Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts.

Located in Vienna, it’s one of the best places to see a concert in the state.  Wolf Trap is dedicated to the performing arts, and it attracts a stunning variety of musicians, popular, experimental, and classical, and also produces a number of other fantastic events, like live musicians, performance artists, and a children’s theatre festival.  It opened in 1971, and hold about 8,000 people, a stunning structure in absolutely stunning surroundings.

Denise had to admit that she just didn’t feel like taking another business trip. As a department manager and major representative of a credit card banking system she had grown accustomed to traveling as part of her job. However, in the last five years Denise has gotten married and has had a son. While she used to enjoy traveling and felt that was actually one of the benefits of her job she has grown to resent the time away from her home and family.

When she received the news that she would be going to Singapore she felt a sense of resistance because it just seemed to be so far away. Denise believed she had finally had enough of traveling and was going to request a position change. Meanwhile, that gave her a slight sense of relief and she faced this one final trip bravely. Denise packed her bags and prepared to stay in one of the best Singapore hotels.

When Denise woke up the following morning she was utterly amazed at how pleasant her room felt. This inspired her to go down and take advantage of the delicious breakfast waiting for her. Almost immediately Denise felt a certain surge of energy in Singapore quickly began to love it. She just had a couple of short meetings that first day and when they were finished she rushed out to explore the city. She walked along Hill Street and happened across Fort Canning Park. She felt almost compelled to explore its greenery and was drawn to walk through it. She came across the Spice Garden and was enthralled with the various herbs that were grown there. She walked on and found the Nine Pound Cannon, which stirred her imagination and interest in its history. She walked on and started to hear the peaceful sound of an acoustic guitar. She walked toward the music as more instruments started up and it sounded as if a band was playing near by. She eventually found a concert taking place at Fort Canning Green and wondered about all the events that took place there regularly. Denise was so pleased and captivated with her first day in Singapore that she decided to explore something new each of her remaining days. She also began to rethink the position change and realized that traveling was still an adventurous aspect of her work.

This time when I am in New York City I am staying at a five star hotel New York City. I can not remember how many times I have been to New York City this year on business and this time I am using some of the points I have gained from all this raveling and upgrading to a five star hotel for this stay and extending it through the weekend so I can have some time to do something other than work and eat in New York City. I feel like I know the airports there much better than the city its self. Every time I am there it is one meeting after another, early mornings, late evenings, dinner then sleep. I would like to be able to do a little more than that and actually see something of the city for the first time in all the visits I have paid there.

With this visit to New York City once work is done on Friday noon when I would usually go to the airport to head home. I will be staying on through to Monday night so I will have Friday afternoon, all day Saturday, all day Sunday and part of the day Monday to have fun in New York.

With every trip there I have been wanting to go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and see some of its vast collection. I have always wanted to see the Egyptian collection housed there. It is one of the largest in the world. I will be spending all day Saturday at the museum I am sure. Friday night I will try and get discounted tickets to a Broadway play and I think Sunday I will spend in lower Manhattan in the Village and Soho. Monday I stay in the mid town area and shop until my flight home that evening.

This will finally be the trip to NY where I will see more than the inside of a cab, meeting room, restaurant, hotel and airport. I will actually get to do something and see some of NY.

Vacationing in the south of Spain has been a traveler’s dream for centuries.  It’s an exquisite place, with a fantastic blend of cultures, and a place where old worlds and new worlds overlap and meet in remarkable new configurations.  Sevilla, the largest city in the south, is the economic center of Andalusia, and has had a long reputation for excellent culture.  Rich in visual art, performance, and literature, there is a magnificent sense for beauty here in this lovely metropolis, and it’s easy to see this demonstrated in the old buildings and the new expressions of artistic expression.  There’s a lot of things to be excited about when traveling to Sevilla, Spain.  Hotels are abundant, and often quite spectacular as well.  We’ve selected some of the best in the area, so that you’re sure to get the taste of Spain that you require.

Our hotels are located gorgeously in the center of the action, so that you’ll have easy access to exquisite sights and attractions, and have ample opportunities to investigate the city for yourself.  It’s an extremely stylish place, and the fashion sense among the locals is impeccable, or at least daring.  You’ll enjoy the hosts of opportunities to shop for new fashions for you and your friends, and also enjoy all the people-watching that goes along with it.  While you’re out and about, and looking to see some local art at its finest, by all means visit the Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemperaneo.

The space itself has an enormously fascinating history.  Since 1997, it has been housed in the Cartuja Monastery, which was constructed in the 1400s on a shrine to the spot where a statue of the Virgin was found.  Now, it is an amazing complex of buildings, and offers a stunning array of exhibitions of contemporary visual art, performance art, digital media, and a number of other forms that speak to the immediate present.  There are also excellent presentations and talks, formal and informal, about the cutting edges of modern art.

Billy spent a week in Penang Malaysia when he was seventeen. He went there with his mother on a business trip. While he was not particularly interested in joining her on this trip, his mother was intent on taking him because the last time she had been gone on business she left him alone and the house was practically destroyed when she returned. Melinda, Billy’s mother, didn’t expect Billy to enjoy the trip with her or even want to go. She was counting on this, in fact, to encourage him to be more respectful of his home if she were to trust him to stay there alone again.

However, as these life lessons sometimes turn out, Billy ended up loving the experience and was completely fascinated with Penang. This was in part due to the fact that there were many interesting features and cultural attractions just outside one of the hotels Penang and it happened to be one of these in which they were staying. Melinda had agreed to let Billy, who was for all practical purposes a responsible and level headed teenager, explore some of the local attractions while she was in business meetings during the day.

Billy was happing to get out and spend some time alone exploring this new city. One thing about him was that he was always eager to experience something new and was generally outgoing and eager to meet new people. He enjoyed walking along the rows of one hundred year old villas and shop houses in George Town. Coincidentally, he also happened to meet an extremely pretty girl from Spain. Billy considered this to be quite a stroke of luck as he had taken two years of Spanish in high school and was eager to test his skills. Billy and his new friend Anna spent every afternoon together and visited some of the ancient temples and the Aceh Mosque. When the trip ended they exchanged email addresses and became long lasting

Parents Magazine” gave the distinction of #1 Zoo in the United States this year to the Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa Bay, Florida.  It’s no wonder.  The zoo has more than two thousand animals housed in their natural environments and habitats.  There are seven different sections to the zoo, and each one is unique and extremely interesting.  In the Asian Gardens there are tigers, python snakes, a clouded leopard and Komodo dragons just to name a few.  The perfect place for children, exotic and exciting.

One of the areas is named for a jungle that exists in the Congo of Africa, it is the Ituri Forrest.  Here one can see up close flamingos and pelicans, pygmy hippos and cheetahs.  In the Florida Wildlife Center located on the zoo grounds there are crocodiles, alligators, panthers and whooping cranes.  The center has the most comprehensive mix of all of the species of Florida that are considered endangered at the moment.  This is not only a beautiful exhibit, but an educational one as well, and leaves many with the knowledge of those species that are most in need of protection.

And of course when traveling with children one should not miss the Wallaroo Station.  This is the section of the zoo dedicated to kids and has an Australian theme.  The petting zoo includes llamas and goats as well as the koala bear, singing dogs from New Guinea, kangaroos and horses.  Many of the other sections include such interactive experiences such as the feeding of giraffes and rhinos.  There are rides such as the Treetop Skyride and the Jungle Carousel, and a water park in the Manatee Fountain.  This is one place that will entice families out of their best Tampa hotels, and into the wonderful world of the outdoors and the wildlife not only of Florida, but from around the world.

Atlanta has a magnificent sky line. i am surprised it isn’t one of those iconic sky lines like New York City or Seattle. The architecture of the buildings is unique and unusual with towers topping out with interestingly illuminated structures. The night sky line is particularly breath taking and clearly showing what a metropolitan place that Atlanta is.

We went a week ago and stayed at luxury hotels Georgia for a weekend of shopping along Peach Tree St and visit the High Museum of Art.

I was not so interested in the shopping but was very interested in the high Museum and its current special exhibit, Leonardo da Vinci, Hands of the Genius. The show consisted of about 50 drawings and sketches that Leonardo da Vinci completed. Many of these works are on view on American soil for the first time ever. The exhibit is set up in three sections, Leonardo the sculptor this section focused on drawings Leonardo did as plans for sculpture and includes detailed drawings for the most complicated sculpture in the world, Sforza horse. The next sections was Leonardo as a student. here works were shown of his and his contemporaries and teachers. Showing the influences on Leonardo’s early work and the last area being Leonardo the mentor. This section focused on Leonardo’s students and how his work in latter years influenced younger artists and students. This exhibit was the high light of the trip to Atlanta I would say.

Atlanta was fun, my partner really enjoyed the shopping on Peach Tree and the museum was a good time for both of us. We also had a lot of fun eating and enjoying the great night clubs that Atlanta has to offer. All in all is was a great time and worth the visit. I suppose we will return again and explore more of this surprisingly metropolitan city

Getting married in an exotic location is a dream of every bride, and Singapore is a splendid place to see your dreams come true.  It has enormous exotic appeal, with its combination of great natural beauty from the tropical weather, to the magnificent urban landscape, which has a unique pulse and energy that speaks of centuries of traditions coming together here.  It also has a local population that is perhaps one of the most savvy in the world when it comes to style and artistic touches, and Singapore understands the importance of small details in making the larger picture absolutely elegant.  There are also some of the top designers in the world, and planning your wedding from far away will be made easier by working with people who take the time to understand your vision.  Your Singapore wedding will be an exquisite affair, and we want to help you cover all the bases.

It always helps to work with people who understand the importance of your wedding, who don’t treat it like it’s just another event, but have an impulse to make every moment a work of art.  Singapore is one of the most creative places in the world, and most every citizen here, young and old, has a taste for fine details.  It’s evident on the streets, and it’s also in the schools.  One of the local universities, Lasalle, has a college of the arts that produces some very exciting new work in the field of fashion.  It may be way too avant-garde for a wedding, but seeing the work of the students can give you an idea about what’s hip in Singapore right now.

Singapore is very much in step with the times, and often ahead of it, so it makes sense to spend some time getting to know the fashion scene here.  The work that’s shown at the LaSalle Show is certainly a fine demonstration of what young people can do when they push the limits, but it also opens up other ideas for style and form that might add some divine touches to your wedding.  And if nothing else, it’s fantastic fun to see what’s on the farther edges of new in contemporary design.

Zaragoza, that’s where I’m headed next. According to the bus stop posters, Zaragoza was chosen to host the Expo 2008. I went through Barcelona due to public transportation restrictions and that Cadaques is nothing more than a fishing village. I used the ticketing system, which I thought was kind of a rip-off, because my train arrives just in time to miss my next train, which cost more to catch the next train. This made me decide when I return home, to use the AVE train that travels about 300 kilometers per hour.

When I finally arrived in Zaragoza, I was pleasantly surprised, the train station was very clean, and new looking. It gleamed of efficiency and the busy concourse was roomy enough to not get trampled. It must have been due to the preparation for the Expo.

I’m so glad that the people here speak proper Spanish. I feel more at ease and take a taxi to find one of the better Zaragoza Spain hotels with which I was able to find with the helpful folks giving me directions. I go to my beautiful spacious room, unpack and take a little nap before I go and check out some points of interest. I awake refreshed and take a quick shower and change clothes. Not far from my hotel I find an interesting church. The architecture was exquisite. Across the church was a sign on a bridge that said it was 33 degrees, with how wet my underarms are, I already knew it was hot! I walked past a Roman ruins and the sewage system. There was a statue of Caesar Augustus with the stone arched walls behind him.

It was time to get something to eat, but I wanted to walk around some more, this place is so nice that it’s making me reconsider staying here a few more days than I planned.

Like many people, my sister loves seafood restaurants. She always orders some kind of sampler platter, which many of them offer and it will generally include a lobster tail, shrimp and either a fillet or some crab legs. Shellfish is her favorite, and she loves an assortment of shrimp in her meal. Sometimes this will include some battered baby shrimp, some scampi and sometimes grilled shrimp. Occasionally the fried shrimp will also include a choice of flavoring, such as Cajun barbeque, coconut or cilantro and lime. The possibilities are endless and some shrimp specialty locations will offer and endless variety.

My sister also loves the lobster and prefers it on a sampler platter where it will usually be removed from its shell. While she is more than capable of removing it herself, when she treats herself to a great seafood meal, she considers this to be more of a chore and enjoys it when the lobster is presented out of the shell. Her taste with lobster is simple and direct, she enjoys dipping it in butter and savoring the rich flavor.

The crabs are almost always served in the shell of their legs, and removing them is second nature to my sister. I never understood why this too wasn’t a chore, though I recognize that it certainly doesn’t seem like one to my sister. She usually dips the crap in butter and sometimes will use a sauce if one is provided. When a fish fillet is served, it is frequently Orange Roughy. This is a mild and light deep ocean fillet that is suitable to many pallets. My sister loves every item that is included with these sampler plates, though this definitely does not complete her experience. Every time she has seafood, and actually any other time it is available, my sister also enjoys a large bowl of New England clam chowder. To her, the creamier it is the better.

Years ago, a friend of mine experienced a spinal cord injury. She found herself, somehow, locked in a second story apartment. Her boyfriend had left for work, and because of the way the lock on the door was set up, she could not get out. Michelle, that is her name, needed to get to work, it was a corporate job that did not tolerate tardiness. Well, it was, and still is now, Buffalo Exchange, a second hand clothing store that was well on its way to becoming corporate, and five minutes either way, meant the difference between having a job, and not having a job.

She was a tall girl, and thought that she could simply jump from the balcony. It was only about 12 to 15 feet after all. She jumped. And just afterward, she laid on the grass in the apartment complex, and could not get up. When Paul, her boyfriend came home from work, she was still there in the courtyard. She had broken her back. She spent months in traction, unable to move. She said that Paul would lie under her traction table, and read books to her. Once she was recovered enough to be taken out of traction, she had surgery that involved putting a metal rod into her spine.

After that, it was water therapy. Hot tubs, from choosehottubsdirect.com, provided her not only with relieve from her discomfort, but actual help for the healing of her injury. Her internal organs had been kept still, through the months of traction, and her spine, well–enough said. The warmth of the water, the buoyancy provided throughout the soaks, released the pressure from her spine and rejuvenated her entire body. And now, more than 20 years later, she is just fine. The water therapy helped her to regain her strength physically, and also served to help her regain her mental strength as well.
